Education and Training
FNP-C Kelsey Cooper graduated summa cum laude from the Family Nurse Practitioner program of James Madison University. She holds dual master’s degrees in Health Sciences and Nursing. She has a nursing background in cardiovascular and intensive care settings, and completed her externship in Internal Medicine.
Certifications and Proficiencies
Certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Member of AANP and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. Nurse Practitioner (NP) practice in Virginia is regulated by the Board of Nursing and the Board of Medicine. NPs engage in the practice of medicine in a variety of settings. NPs may prescribe medication when appropriate and often work in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
